Being always restless, I cannot stand lying down for an hour while someone touches my face.
However, the one facial which I subject myself to regularly, is Ultrasonic Deep Cleansing.
Born with oily and acne-prone skin, my pores clog up faster than a choked up toilet bowl. Blackheads and whiteheads populate my T-zone, and before I know it, pimples start to pop up again.
Ultrasonic Deep Cleansing uses Ultrasonic wave motion to remove surface aged skin and impurities such as blackheads and whiteheads.. Think of it as high tech extraction, which doesn't require brute force or leave the skin red and swollen. Squeezing is not a good way to remove comedones either as this can cause scarring.
Comedones are the pre-cursors to pimples. If left untouched, they can become pimples, or worse, over the long term, cause enlarged pores. Clearing comedones reguarly is a great, cost effective way to prevent acne from doing more harm to your skin.
My nurses managed to coax me into doing Ultrasonic Deep Cleansing today, and the picture above shows the fruits of their labour (yes all those are comedones in the gallport!). I consider my skin to be relatively clear, and yet its amazing how much gunk still resides in it.
For the benefits, I will endure lying down for half an hour every 2 weeks while my nurses work their magic!
how much?

I hate facials or rather i hate lying down and having someone touch my face too. This is why as much as i would like to get to see a doctor to improve my skin condition, ive been putting it off for the longest time. I prefer the home diy methods. What do you think of the Clarisonic brushes to help cleanse the skin and prevent clogged up pores?
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteClarisonic brushes use a similar technology.. but as with all DIY home systems, its always not as efficient or strong as the ones you do at the doctor's office..
